Van Nuys, CA: Along with some interior and exterior styling changes, the 1963 Galaxie 500 was born a true muscle car. Sporting the T-Bird emblem emblazoned with 406 for cubic inches, this heavy 405 HP two-door sedan ran 0-60 in 7.9-seconds and became a favorite with drag and stock car racers. Later in the year, the appearance of the 427 CID engine was the icing on Ford's cake for 1963.

The interiors of the early to mid-Sixties Fords were multi-colored, and featured mylar inserts and intricate dielectric patterns in the door panels.
